The implementation of the EMR technology is critical for the enhancement of efficiency in the healthcare system. However, there is a need to utilize research on the issue efficiently. Efficient utilization of research in the implementation of EMR and health administration makes it possible to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the systems, investigate and interpret the use, cost, accessibility, quality, organization, financing, delivery, and the outcomes of healthcare services. It gives decision-makers or stakeholders in the healthcare system or organizations information on the state of the health systems, the required changes, how to implement the changes, and the impact they may have on the system and the patients (Steinwachs & Hughes, 2008). This leads to the improvement of the quality of care by enhancing efficiency in all the processes.
Stakeholder
engagement plays a significant role in influencing the utilization of research.
According to Hartzler et al. (2013),
stakeholder engagement involves the inclusion of those affected by the changes
in the policy towards the implementation of the change in healthcare. They play
an important role in the utilization of research and influence the
implementation of changes. For instance, the involvement of the stakeholders allows
the successful implementation of the processes and systems for supporting the
efficiency of the EMR. The engagement occurs in terms of consultation, involvement
to partnerships, and shared leadership and management at the different levels
of within the healthcare organization. In the implementation of EMR systems, research
is critical and so is the involvement of the stakeholders in its integration

al., 2013).
Stakeholders such as patients, clinicians, policy makers, staff, healthcare
experts, and the citizens among others have a role in offering input on how to
utilize the research. The process helps in addressing the key challenges that
deter the implementation of EMR. The stakeholders’ contribution allows the
effective implementation of research after a consideration of its efficiency. The
involvement serves a greater role in the improvement of efficiency of the
system and processes, reduction of duplication of patient tests, the promotion
of safety and wellbeing of the patient, and the facilitation and coordination
