NEW EMPLOYEE SECURITY GUIDE
Abstract
In every institution, guidelines are postulated so that they can be adhered to for the betterment of the organization in matters regarding security. Individuals are must be guided on the matter. Therefore, they tend to make rational decisions when they are bestowed with the role of security in regards to crimes committed within a company. This paper transcends a discussion on how to prepare security personnel so that they can gain utmost foundations when they are exposed responsibilities of protecting assets and people. Furthermore, the paper will major focus on the investigation principles within on the organizational level regarding investigative policies within an organization, criminal investigation undertakings by the organization, and evidence acquisition and management as well as employee-related crimes. Furthermore, the guide will discuss how criminal investigation can take place at administrative and personnel levels.
Investigative Rules
Investigative rules within an organization risk dependent to the hierarchy of responsibilities within its management. It is, therefore, necessary that new employees must master the guidelines. To begin with, the firm in the case has a top security manager, under him; there are two supervisors, the criminal supervisor and the administrative crime supervisor. The two directors undertake the implementation of this guideline with at least three security personnel. As per the principles for any case of a criminal investigation, it is imperative to practice a high standard of professionalism. As a critical element of the criminal investigation, crime scene serves as a starting point for forensic science (Kelty, Julian, & Robertson, 2012). It is, therefore, important that security personnel must practice utmost professionalism within the scene. Notably, a mismanaged crime scene leads to inadequate evidence and exposes the risks of wrongful convictions.
Additionally, it is necessary to master the rules provided by the organization in regards to the given criminal investigation scenario. Security personnel must be able to clarify, seek assistance and be provided with adequate advice from their supervisors. It is significant that security personnel must have the required tools such as a pen and a book. They must have the full attire as required by the institution at hand such as devices such as radiophones. In the case of a crisis, the investigative rules must be adhered to in such a way that communication within the specified company security structure is communicated both vertically and horizontally. Recording of evidence must be done with the use of camcorders, pagers, and cameras. Second, security personnel are expected avoid tampering critical evidence on the scene of the crime. The investigative rules entail that when the security personnel encounters a viable and vital evidence, a report to the law enforcement must be formulated so that the law can take its course regarding the presented crime.
Reporting by the Security Personnel
In the formulation of an incidence report or accident report within the organization, security personnel must be able to capture the most valuable information. First, they are supposed to use a simpler layman language, use of jargon is prohibited. Secondly, they should obtain information by utilizing the five W’s; Who, What, When, Where, and Why (Fischer, Halibozek, & Walters, 2012). Additionally, the report must include facts that are objective. At this point, the security personnel must stick to what he or she observed and heard with his/her ears. After synthesizing the notes taken during observation, security personnel must be able to relevant photos and videos that pertain to the crime investigation in question so that it can be presented to the law enforcement unit. Lastly, for any critical practice, security personnel are obliged to practice professionalism in their reporting of crime investigation. When handling crime scenes, it is important for security personnel to wear gloves so that the evidence cannot tamper. Therefore, it is necessary for the Chief Security Officer(CSO) to allocate a one-week training to the new employees on matters concerning investigative rules for the for the organization.
Criminal Investigation
When an act causes social danger, it classifies for criminal investigation. Administrative investigation entails actions, which put vital data at risk. Besides, when a person’s worth is humiliated, investigations of such caliber take place (Osterburg & Ward, 2010). Security teams ought to work hand in hand with the police. The state of Maryland requires security guards to apply for certification (Maryland State Police, 2015). The procedure seeks to create a rapport between the state police and the guards. Distinguishing between criminal and administrative investigations is important. This way, limited resources will not be wasted on unnecessary activities. The above definitions concerning the two types of investigations are affiliated to the field of law. The CSO must elaborate the difference in the intensity of investigations which takes place when fraud and murder are committed within an organization. The law enforcement is a vital factor in the success of a security company. Therefore, a collaboration of the two is necessary for their mutual goals to be accomplished. The fact above on the Maryland state attempts to elaborate the different ways in which security agencies collaborate with the law. Police work to eradicate crime while security organizations aim at protecting Thus, a collaborative relationship will aid in enabling investments flourish.
Significance of Training Security Personnel
Training is a necessity for recruitment of new employees within a firm since it differentiates myths from facts. Training enhances competency which in turn yields a better customer feedback for the betterment of the company (Berndtsson & Stern, 2015). In these guidelines, the CSO will focus on attaining important goals from the new employees within the organization. Such goals include; when a guard is certified for having passed the recruitment stage, it is given that they will outdo themselves in their role as protectors. Exposure to investigations makes the guards more versed with precautions and actions, which are necessary for their line of duty. Witnesses serve as a vital aspect in the investigation of crime. Therefore, security guards should be competent in various the areas of psychology for an easier time while dealing with a carrier of evidence. Criminal investigations have to be carried in a detailed manner for the law enforcement to come to a solution. It is a criminal felony to suppress any information for the police state. Release any data necessary for solving the crime. The security agency is liable for any mistreatment of the witness or the wrongdoer. The police are given the mandate to act on offenders. Thus, it is imperative to have a symbiotic relationship.

Release any data necessary for solving the crime. The security agency is liable for any mistreatment of the witness or the wrongdoer (Osterburg & Ward, 2010). The police are given the mandate to act on offenders. Thus, it is imperative to have a symbiotic relationship.
Employment-Related Investigation
Contemporarily, most organizations face some crimes. Most security departments focus on the external threats rather than the internal threats. The definition of offenses does not base on acts like theft or murder; rather they include any form of infringement of personal space, sexual assault, fraud, misconduct, and bribery. In the business of protecting individuals and assets, it is necessary for the security guards to take oaths concerning the ability to be truthful and to adhere to confidentiality in their line of work. Human is to error thus; the state court requires the new employees to vow to care for the evidence without distorting it or misusing it. Besides, the security agents ought to uphold their oath in the context of being private about information disseminated by witnesses. The reason behind witness confidentiality is to protect them from any harm which might be caused by the wrongdoer. In undertaking any criminal investigations, it is a requirement of the state court that the security team document the evidence utilizing visuals and audios. In case an agent goes against the oath, expulsion and suing will be the order of the day. The state court ought to emphasize on taking oaths because it is a given way of upholding professionalism. Besides, consumers of private security will be inclined to our services if we illustrate that we operate as required of us by the laws of the land of paramount importance in taking oaths is the ability to refer to the occasionally for a profound understanding of our line of work.
Due to increased demands compared to available resources, people have turned to crime to compensate for the little that they are lacking. Besides, greed is driving high-income earners to steal from their employers. Security agents are prone to commit an administrative crime as opposed to murder. In the case a murder is committed; the offender might have done so with the intention of stealing. Employment-related investigations prove to be hard to pursue because they involve individuals conversant with the security system. Therefore, it is very likely that evidence will be tampered with. Besides, it proves harder to investigate a colleague as opposed to a stranger. A familiar face might intimidate the witnesses who make the investigations a task. Theft is the most rampant crime within the organization. Recent shortcomings revolve around the theft of large sums of money to that equipment. When security guards commit such crimes, they cover every bit of evidence which may sell them out. The majority of such cases have gone unresolved because the culprits collaborate with their fellow colleagues who vow to secrecy. Currently, we are incorporating spies in the security company to eradicate such vices. Murder is the worst of all crimes thus if one goes down on such a road, a death penalty is an immediate action.
Video surveillance has aided in keeping up with internal and external crimes. The footage has proven to be valuable in investigating administrative crimes which would otherwise go unnoticed. Although witnesses play a critical role in the investigation of crimes, the use of CCTV cameras has challenged internal offenders to upgrade their mechanisms of committing offenses. Fraud is a crime which is hard to track down unless one audits the lifestyles of suspected offenders. It is paramount to isolate offenders from witnesses for investigations to take place without any disruptions. Sexual assault, on the other hand, is an offense which was previously overlooked but, with the help of footage and the new amendments to the law, perpetrators face punishment. For a flawless investigation within the workplace, state police should mediate in the investigations as a way of avoiding biased decisions. The security agency incorporated a system which sends visual to the state police for a holistic approach to our commitment to protection. Besides, our upgraded system is likely adverse weather effects thus; it can work in harsh outdoor conditions. Security guards should be conversant with operating the systems for a sound output in their line of work. Shortly, other systems which sense movements will be incorporated for maximum security.
Administrative and Personnel Investigation
The US constitution serves as a blueprint for human rights. The rate of employee-related crimes is rampant within the organizations in the country. Evidence are distorted in most administrative and personnel investigation scenarios. Such evidence is not allowed in any federal or state court. The security personnel must handle evidence as recommended by the state law. Security guards must adhere to these rules to avoid punishment by the state law. Therefore, it is imperative to know the human rights since they go about as an establishment for teaching one on what is required of them by the state. The security personnel should report such an occurrence to the CSO with notes going about as evidence. On the off chance that the property stolen is viewed as precious, state police should intercede for further examinations. Transfer of proof happens when information is bent before investigation happens. Likewise, false allegations render a case expelled Accordingly, transmission of confirmation. It is required of security specialists to take after the rules of the state law in reporting proof/evidence. Likewise, the group should follow up on an emergency on account of the constitution. There are cases in which people deliberately bug others. Subsequently, when one is in the know regarding constitutional changes, it is simpler to remain standing for oneself instead of utilizing an expert in law to do as such. A vital part of managerial and staff examinations is that security offices do not have the ability to indict a person. Accordingly, security guards are qualified for their rights paying little respect to their boss’ sentiments.

The association was relied upon to discharge discoveries concerning the Italian’s passing. The contextual investigation goes for expounding how important security groups are in the advancement of cases. In spite of the fact that insurance is the primary target of such associations, a security guard is more presented to data since they are dependably on the ground. The late Mr. Giulio’s story among others concerning inclusion of security faculty in state cases outlines the requirement for experienced representatives in overseeing crime and investigations (Stille, 2016).
