I would like for the writer to include how since I was a little girl I’ve been wanting to go into the medical field, growing up since my mother worked with several doctors.
I’ve also done volunteering work that involved caring for people like working at nursing homes to volunteering at hospitals to going to a UCONN Research Summer Camp to work on Medical Anthropology.
I’m going to be majoring in biology in the medical field.
– I have tried to participate in c lubs /activities / & work areas that would benefit in what I want to major in.
In able to work in Medical Field I believe you have to have a patient, calm, personaility, and I think my personaility fits it when it comes to dealing with different kinds of people, young and old
– I believe I have the potential to be who I want to be and able to get what I want as long as I put my mind to it

Ever since I experienced the expressions that were on my mother’s face in the year 2011, after being appreciated in my community as a servant leader, I have been fascinated with the need to learn more about our surrounding and the well-being of individuals healthwise. As such, possession of a calm and patient personality enables my conscious to tolerate patients around me. I hereby apply for a joint program in B.S/M.D in Medicine at Howard University.
To begin with, my mother has been my inspiration in following this career path as she has been working hand in hand with a number of healthcare professionals, including both nurses and doctors. As mentioned earlier, my mother is a recognized as a personality in my community for helping the needy. Such an act has initiated motives of undertaking a degree in medicine so as to follow my mother’s footsteps.
Also, ever since I was a little girl, it has been my goal to prosper in the medical field. The medical field as a profession is one of the most satisfying careers of all as it encompasses how we relate to our environment internally and externally. Therefore, I feel obliged to serve the community in terms care and outright health conditions. Arguably, I have been involved in a number of activities that add up to my field of interest. First, while in high school, I was an active member of the Science Club and I exposed me to a number of issues that I need to understand and tackle with ease, hence, pursuing a degree in medicine will enable me to unlock the answers am seeking.
Additionally, after and before the completion of my high school education, I was exposed to a vast fraternity of care through taking part in a volunteer program in helping the elderly and the physically disabled in the care homes within our state as well as other states in the country. Furthermore, with my interest in biological and medical sciences, I had an opportunity to attend the UConn Research Summer camp. Specifically, I was tasked with research in Medical Anthropology, which I found it relevant in my career pursuit.
Biology has always been one of the subjects that I have scored highly while in high school, therefore, my core reasons for applying this program is to major in the biomedical field and research to understand the emergent diseases and how they can be controlled. Also, an understanding of biomedical factors that affects individuals will aid my goal in helping the community that I will be engaged with.
Consequently, I understand the requirements needed for individuals to pursue a degree in medicine. In regards to such a comprehensive analysis, I am a patient and calm individual ready to listen to the patients’ thoughts and complaints as well as advising appropriately. Also, I am a dedicated believer in the power of medicine to better the living standards.
Conclusively, reflecting on my past life experiences and expectations coupled with my goal in being a medical professional, a degree at Howard University will be relevant. As such, the joint program is said to be a comprehensive program, and I have the ability to concentrate on my studies when given an opportunity to join your faculty. As a focussed and planned person, I will appreciate a chance in your university so that I can fulfill my objectives.
