Annotated Bibliography
Sample Question 1
The list of sources must contain the following:
• The subject of your research, which you must state at the top of the page.
• Ten sources of information about your subject, including:
o Minimum of one book
o Minimum of four articles from the Hunt Library databases
o Minimum of two scholarly articles
Note: Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for scholarly work. Do not use Wikipedia as a source for this or any academic assignment.
All sources must be correctly documented in the current APA style. In addition, the entire reference list must be correctly formatted in the current APA style.
• A short summary (one to three sentences) of the information found in the source.
• An evaluation of the source’s credibility, reliability, currency, possible bias, and usefulness with respect to your topic. Review the following example as well as the rubric associated with this assignment for more detailed grading information.
Sample Question 2
Develop an annotated bibliography to indicate the quality of the sources you have read.
Summarize in your own words how the source contributes to the solution of poverty and income inequality for each annotation. Address fully the purpose, content, evidence, and relation to other sources you found on this topic (your annotation should be one to two paragraphs long—150 words or more). Include no less than five scholarly sources in the annotated bibliography that will be used to support the major points of the Final Paper. Demonstrate critical thinking skills by accurately interpreting evidence used to support various positions of the topic.
