Solution.
Proposal: MGM Grand Hotel
Part 5: Replacement of Three Additional Vehicles
Budget Proposal
At MGM Hotel, clients who want to hire rooms at the facility are required to pay a whopping $100 for a security deposit. As the CSO, I table a proposal that the security section at MGM must consider replacing the current security vehicles with new ones and also upgrade their GPS system. As the CSO at MGM, three vehicles at the facility need to be fully replaced with new advanced security vehicles. These vehicles will be used to enhance patrols at the facility efficiently. I table the following proposal that will effectively help in monitoring activities around the hotel.
Line- Budget for Vehicle Replacement
Item | Amount projected |
Additional Drivers (6) | (Enter Cost) |
GPS installation | (Enter Cost) |
Alarm Installation | (Enter Cost) |
Maintenance of the replaced vehicles | (Enter Cost) |
- Labor Cost
Labor will amount to (Enter Cost per driver according to team’s agreed budget allocation to this section) for the three new drivers.
- Maintenance Cost
It is projected that maintenance cost will amount to (Enter Cost per driver according to team’s agreed budget allocation to this section).
- Equipment Cost
Equipment cost will include the cost of new vehicles, alarm installation and advanced GPS trackers. It is projected an amount of (Enter Cost per driver according to team’s agreed budget allocation to this section)
Justification
MGM Grand Hotel occupies approximately 5 acres of land. Therefore, patrols by security guards using automobiles are far much convenient (Fray, 2001). The current state of the security vehicles at MGM is average, and it does guarantee maximum security. This proposal provides a platform that will effectively ensure that the rate of robbery and theft is minimal at the facility. With the new, replace of security vehicles is also important to add three new drivers since the current recently complained about the lack of sleep. Therefore, adding three more drivers will enhance alertness during night and day patrols with 12- hour shifts (Borodzicz, 2005). Also, with GPS tracking and alarm system upgraded, the vehicle would be able to be monitored from the security control tower and at any incidence. Any crime that is taking place around the facility will trigger an alarm for help since the alarm is linked to the tower. Also, if the vehicle’s GPS is not within the required perimeter, the alarm will be activated. Such an improvement is essential such that security personnel operating the vehicles will be monitored fully to curb the problem of manipulation by criminals and also to halt the problem of improper use of facility security vehicles. Additionally, for maximum efficiency the vehicles should be serviced once a month to improve its functionality in the verge to make patrols more helpful and avoid engine breakdowns.
